Hi, first of all - I tried searching the forum but I keep getting an error "The Answer given for the random question was incorrect"

Never saw any question, anywhere.

OK, now back to my issue;

I would like to know how can I make Finder
to open a new window every time I click it on the dock
(or how to make a shortcut) and not open the current window of finder.

Thanks :Shouting:

I think the following will get you what you want:
1. While in the Finder go to the Finder menu at the top of the screen and choose Preferences.
2. Click the General tab
3. Uncheck the "Open Folders in Tabs" option.

Thank you for replying Slydude!

I am aware of this option.
The thing I am looking for is when I press the "Finder"
on the dock, it will open a new "Finder" - to explain it a little bit better;

In Windows 8.1 you have the "Internet Explorer" on the Task Bar.
If you click it - it will always open the same "Internet Explorer" window, but if you make a shortcut on the desktop it will open a new "Internet Explorer" window.

I hope I explained it good:eek:

So my question is how to make a "Finder" shortcut? even to be on the desktop and not on the dock:)

Can you tell us why you want to do that? That is, what are you trying to accomplish? The only reason I can think of for two Finder windows is to drag/drop from one to the other, but you can do that in tabs in one window, or you can right click on the Finder on the Dock and select New Finder Window and have two windows open for that drag/drop. So why do you want or think you need two instances of Finder running at the same time?

Do you want a particular Finder window to open when doing that?

Just use command-n. New window and don't have to leave the keyboard.
