All,

I bought myself a CS3 Design Premium Academic license but then it was given to me as a birthday gift. Now I have an extra copy and the third party reseller won't take it back. I will sell it for the regular price $599 and I will include shipping to the US.

Anyone interested?

that is a good point, but some people do. you still should lower the price a bit.

That issue is irrelevant in this case.

Once it was purchased by you with a student discount, it really doesn't make much difference what happens after that. Charging more than what you paid is unnecessary, as the person who ends up as your buyer won't need to validate any sort of student status.

The fairest thing to do would be to sell it for the same price you paid for it.

I don't think you can resell it. I bought a copy of Fireworks back in the day and they were pretty tough what that sort of thing.
Good luck trying to sell something for more than you paid.

I am not selling it for more than I paid, it costs $599. I am trying to recoup costs for it since I wound up with a duplicate copy and the reseller will not take it as a return.

The box is sealed as well. Not really sure why I am doing anything wrong here. I paid Tax and shipping too, so I am actually selling it for less than I paid.

Most people would feel more secure buying it from a retailer if they are going to pay full price for it.
