Extracting a clip from a DVD

Hello all!, Hey I am putting together a DVD for my Hockey team, and I wanted to add some clips from some Hockey movies, which I own. I was woundering how I would extract clips from the film and import them into imovie, to add to my moive.

I have DVD back up and DVDzone as gone over in the thread "Copying DVD's Tutorial" Now that I have backup copies of the film I want to use clips from, what is the next step to getting just clips from the films? Do I have to bring the whole film into imovie? How can just get a small section? Any ideas?

you can try a screen capture app like DVD Capture (outdated link removed) for that. not sure if it does audio, but if not you can use wiretap (outdated link removed) for that. i would still recommend getting wiretap. i love it for working with audio
