bought a head /w micso i can use skype. my min is not working.any advice?

What computer are you using? Is it a USB headset or one with a standard microphone/headphone plugs?

I believe the Macbook requires a self-powered microphone if you're using the line in port - that may be the problem (not sure if this is the case with other Macs)
