My comp specifications:

# 2.16GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
# 1GB 667 DDR2 SDRAM - 2x512
# 250GB Serial ATA Drive
# ATI Radeon X1600/128MB VRAM
# SuperDrive 8X (DVD+R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)

iTunes will not open. An error code pops (-600) up if I try and access it from the hard drive as well. It bounces once in the dock then stops. I try to force quite the application, but the arrow underneath the program symbol does not go away.

Does anyone know what it means and if so, how I would go about fixing the problem?

Thanks

I have the same problem! I've been searching M-F and the Apple site and cannot find ANYTHING that addresses this. Anyone?

according to www.appleerrorcodes.com it means this:

"-600 procNotFound No eligible process with specified process serial number"

I cant help much more than that.. I hope that gives you some where to start.

I just finished holding down the power button to turn it off and then started it back up again. Now iTunes opens, no error.

Pozitrono, what were you doing prior to having the problem? I was transferring files from my PC to my Mac via wireless network, when my thinkpad froze up on me. (Now, I think I'll try copying them a few at a time instead of all at once!)

Thanks, KDS, for at least telling us what it meant!

I simply turned on my computer and it would not open. After turning off my comp for the past 2 days there has been no change and I can not find anything related to KDS's description on the web.
