Epson DX4450

My bother just bought his first Macbook and is having trouble installing his new Epson. Because Irony loves me, he calls me with questions. The printer kept telling him to change the cartridge which he did, even buying new toner, Change cartridges kept coming up. He took it downstairs to his Dell and it worked. Brought it back up to the Mac and now when he prints he gets the beach ball of doom, then a message that the printer's offline. The lights on the front are the same when connected to the Dell and the Mac, but the Mac is just not working. We used it to scan on another Mac weeks ago and it hasn't been used since, but nothing's doing today. I had him remove the printer and reinstall the software, but the problem's still there. Please help him (and me) because Mac problems are invading my home.

Did the drivers come from the accompanying disc, or did you get the latest from Epson's website?
