Empty mail boxes, blocked inbox

Messages have been removed from several mailboxes on my Mac. I can restaure them, but messages vanish when I open another box. And since yesterday, new incoming messages can only be seen via webmail. Why? What should I do?

Hi Brawand, welcome to this forum. A little more information about your device, operating system and version of Apple Mail. I assume you are using Apple Mail? You didn't mention that either.
As a rule of thumb I would suggest that something has changed between you and your email server. This could be due to a software update, a change of email settings, a malware bug, file corruption on your device (whatever that is). etc, etc.
So a little more information is required.:)
