OK, it's not that drivers won't work, it's because the OP doesn't know how to find or apply them.

Have to agree here, and no lack of advice or suggestion posts provided, including contacting Canon customer relations tech help and others…

PS: I have a feeling you've had some chosen words and thoughts about getting Canon printers connected and working in the past… so maybe not always a cakewalk as implied… ;) :Lips-Are-Sealed:

Yeah, you hit the nail on the head. I will never own another Canon printer because of the bad experiences I've had with them. They make pretty good cameras though. ;)

Apple produced it's own printers for quite a while in the early days. Over time there was at least two dot matrix models (ImageWriter I and II), the StyleWriter series of inkjet (at least 2), and the LaserWriter series. All were real work horses that did not seem to be nearly as temperamental as some of the printers of today. I seriously doubt Apple goes back into the printer business.

Oh yes, I do remember the StyleWriter.

Oh yes, I do remember the StyleWriter.

And then came the Color StyleWriter, amazing the consumer could print in color at home.

I think I still have a spare color ink cartridge and cover with the bottles of refill ink and syringes in the basement somewhere. Packrat = understatement…!!!

I believe that most of the StyleWriters were actually made by Canon except the last color units that were made by HP.

PS: We still have an old HP 4ML Laserjet Mac DIN serial and AppleTalk only printer networked that still works, even via wireless and with our iDevices via an older iMac running Leopard OS X 10.5.8 as the print server via an Asantetalk adapter when needed for large B&W print jobs. It even works from a Mac running El Cap'n!!
