playback
hi
theres no gain in playback terms and your hard drive will be stuffed
full very quickly. from my experience there is no easy way round the drive region 'problem' on macs. vlc did not work for me either as it still compares
discs and drive settings, just like dvd player.
mac the ripper can work I still say the best solution is two macs one for region one and one for region two. LOL
kind regards

haze said:Do you get better playback when you rip them? I'm just curious because I only have a 30GB drive in my iBook, so I don't like using up all my space to try these things out. I'd sometimes do it if the playback was better than what VLC gives when playing from a disc.
