There are a couple of security settings that you will want to make sure are set in Brave right off. They will protect you from a couple of common nasties.

I don't have the latest version of Brave, so I'm guessing at the correct path to these setting. Please let me know if I've erred in these paths:

Brave menu —> Preferences —> Permissions —> Notifications —> set Don’t Allow Sites To Send Notifications

Brave menu —> Preferences —> Content —> set Don't allow sites to send pop-ups or use redirects

Just downloaded Brave, imported my Bookmarks, however all my passwords are in Keychain/Passwords, and Brave does not seem to use this, and I don't want to start duplicating passwords in another application, or is this the only way forward with Brave.

I don't keep passwords in my web browsers as a rule. There are a few exceptions. This site being one of them but I still have a Password Manager other than Apple's so I can always resort to that but I don't save them in the browser.

@IWT using your links I found the Brave extension below, and although it says it is for Chrome, is also for Brave:

iCloud Passwords lets you fill passwords from iCloud Keychain when signing in to websites using Chrome.
