As the subject says, does anyone know how to change mail.app toolbar easier to read with either larger icons and/or text or change Apple's stupid choice of insisting on using light grey text with an easier to see colour.

Apple prides itself with helping those with vision problems, and then produces an application with the tool bar, those of us with bad vision can barely read.

I have not been able to find any sort of solution with the Google search. So hopefully, some member may have a suggestion or two.

Thanks.

System Settings>Accessibility>Display then scroll down a bit to find a place to set text size default and also Menu Bar Size. I don't know if it works with everything, but it's worth a try.

Thanks for the info and that is typical of my frustration with this newest and latest macOS version sequoia Version 15.2 from Apple. So many promises and listing of new features, but the bloody things don't work consistently in many of their own applications. Consistency is definitely not one of their features.

Anyway, I certainly appreciate the suggestions, but I'm just not impressed with an awful lot of Apple' "new and improved features", many of which appear to be not only inconsistent, but incompletecomplete and an unfinished project. Certainly not typical of Apple programming of years gone by.

Does anyone know if Dark Mode can be applied to only some applications or some windows? But it seems to be an all or nothing thing except for one of the other options.

The pale grey text on white background has been an annoyance to me for some time, not just in the current macOS. But it's only an annoyance to me because my wife uses Mail and doesn't like Dark Mode, I gave up on Apple's native email client years ago. Dark Mode does help but I don't, and never have, liked the UI layout. There is to be a new version in the next macOS in line with the iOS 18 version so maybe that will be an improvement.

Can anyone tell me how to effect the change to read, actually see emails that come in completely white on Macbook and apple mail.

Everyone tells me their expreiecences, but I want to have, know an effective way when this happens to me. What to do practically to change white emails to black typed ones.
Where do I go in ?Settings? or ? what do I click on?

The preactical remedy, I have not seen here. Thanks, Frank

Just as a temporary workround: select the contents, then in Format menu click Show Colors, and choose black. I'm not sure how you would change the contents permanently though

I know not everybody likes Dark Mode system wide, I love it and have been using it since it's introduction but to me the below is much clearer in Dark Mode even though I don't use Mail myself.
