They aren't talking about Apple there. They are referring to IBM's operating system, OS2/Warp.
Apple didn't use the "OS" prefix until version 8 came out, and they called it "OS 8". Prior to that the proper name was "System"... as in "System 6" or "System 7", etc.

I do like the line, "What else does it do... besides look like OS2?".

Was this really an advertisement that Microsoft produced?

I'm just trying to figure out who to sue.

"Who was that guy?"

"That's the nice fella who just sold her Windows 386."

Kill me. Kill me now.

Can I make a backup copy of my brain? Too many of these videos are going to fry the one I have.

Thank goodness for the link to the full version. The short one was very poorly edited; too many holes in the plot. I, and I'm sure, most of the audience, was left reeling when attempting to piece the action vs. storyline together.

Caution: Spoiler. Although few would argue surprise in the girl-greets-boy ending, it was, contrary to expectations, entirely safisfactory: Mr. Windows 386 (for lack of a better name — he remains anonymous to keep the audience guessing, thereby ensuring a successful sequel, possibly in 2092) kissing her hand tops the video denouement charts. I was flabbergasted, and I must admit, not a little chagrined over my poor expectations when I had clicked on the full-version link.

The Philistines of the chop shop that created the short version should be castigated in the roundest terms. It is as though the Mona Lisa had been lost, with the only version remaining being a black-and-white photograph for students of art to study. Imagine such a loss!

My joy at the discovery of the 12-minute Windows 386 triumph could be compared to that of archeologists rediscovering the library of Alexandria.

Well done, Microsoft.
