I have had problems with my MacBook Pro. When running disk utility I get the error: "First Aid found corruption that needs to be repaired. To repair the startup volume, run First Aid from Recovery. Click Done to continue."

If I run first aid from recovery do I risk losing my data?

Obviously we can never say never but it would be extremely rare. The startup volume may be damaged and running First Aid from Recovery may or may not be able to fix the problem so before trying that I would be inclined to backup all your data first if possible.
I assume you had a reason to run First Aid, what was that?
How old is the device?
How much storage is free?

Too many devices to list
It never hurts to backup your disk before doing anything that may impact the disk itself or its filesystem.

Take a moment to read this. Specifically, take the time to run First Aid for each volume first and then the storage device itself.

Not if you have a backup strategy in place. You do have a backup strategy so you will not lose any of your important data, right?
