I've had my macbook for nearly two years and I'm starting to see that underneath the trackpad there's a bit of dirt (hair, bits of food etc). I can see underneath the trackpad because when you look at it from a certain angle you can see the dirt (I didn't open the macbook)

I just wanted to ask whether other people have had issues with that, for example has the trackpad stopped working or it's not working how it should because of the dirt underneath the trackpad. If so what did they do about it?

I think you mean beneath the press bar which sets on top of the trackpad and not the trackpad itself. If you can get hold of a few cans of compressed air (usually sold at Radio Shack, Best Buy, Target, etc.) you might be able to blow the dirt out. Removal of the bottom case is required to get under that area. Not an easy job. :(

Regards.

I'm not really to keen on opening up my macbook, I'm scared something may get messed up…

has anyone had any problems with the dirt being there? I mean has it caused any problems with the keyboard or trackpad…?
