How do people change the icon for their mac harddrive?

there is a program that you can buy, i think it is called shapeshifter. i got the icon from pixelgirl. navigate to the icon, click on it hit apple + i. in the info window, you can select the icon and a blue haze will appear around it. hit apple + c. you will have to navigate to your computer in finder. then, you will highlight your hard drive and hit apple + i. highlight the icon and then hit apple + v. you have to do this under an administrator account if you are using multiple logins on your mac.

The second theme has better looking menus etc. IMO, it's the Pulsar GUIkit for all those who use shapeshifter
