My wallpaper used to be much more "busy" than this. I like simplicity but for some reason, I really liked my old wallpaper (outdated link removed).
Anyway, here is my current desktop.
Dock Icons: FF, Safari, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, MSN (don't know why that is still there, I never use it), Terminal (*nix nerd in me needs that there), iCal, iTunes, AppCleaner, VirtualBox, Eclipse, Starcraft and two stacks - one for apps I've made and one for downloads.
