deleting iPhone from cloud group of 4 devices

New here; not sure where to start, but here goes: Wife has been really happy with her IPhone 4 over the past 3 years or so. She has it on the Cloud along with her iPod and iPad. Now she's bought an iPhone 6 and has it in the Cloud. She's given me her iPhone 4. We activated it as a second line within our AT&T service. However, I need to have it as a stand alone phone and she certainly does not want any App I download going into her 3 other devices. I've done search here - zero. She and I need to know how to delete this iPhone 4 from her cloud and have it behave like just one iPhone. How do we do this and leave here Cloud and other 3 devices intact?????? Thanks, Dennis

Do you have a separate Apple ID? Obviously, if both the iPhone 4 and 6 are registered to your wife with her Apple ID, everything that's downloaded on one is going to be downloaded to the other.
