I was screwing around deleting unnecessary files (so I thought) and I can no longer watch tube type videos (NOT YouTube...the other ones I shouldn't be watching) ;P
I deleted the 1000+ files and emptied them from the trash. Don't say it. I know I'm ABSOLUTELY A GOOFBALL and should have my computer seized and I should be punished by lashings.

The pic below shows were I deleted the files from:
problem.jpg

I don't even know what help to ask for? Any/all help will be appreciated.

I'm using Snow Leopard if that helps.

Regards.

I can delete anything from there, and still watch any form of tube..... I even tested it on one one of those sites you mentioned just to be sure.
My flash player folder doesn't contain that security folder however, and I'm running snow leopard too, so I can't open it to see if there's anything "unsafe to delete".
I'm guessing that in your deleting frenzy that you have gone and deleted something from another location.
You can try downloading Adobe - Adobe Flash Player but I'm not sure that this is your problem, but it may resolve it.
Failing that, repair disk permissions, & if it doesn't work, restore your system from the last back up.
I would recommend pacifist if I knew what it was that you have deleted.

6string,
Thanks for the reply.

I wasn't really on a 'deleting frenzy', although it sounded like I was :p

I only deleted the files in those three folders within the Flash Player folder. The files which looked like they may get me into trouble if my computer got stolen :(

I already have Adobe Flash Player installed, so that can't be the problem.

When I click on a tube video, I get directed to the following page:
(the ?????'s represent the website I was visiting, but also represents many other sites which direct me to this page).

Warning: include(/home/domains/????.com/v2/click_order/order.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/domains/?????.com/vs/vs.php on line 5

even though you have the flash player installed, reinstall it, and this may rectify the problem.......
In saying that, I don't think what you deleted is the problem, but more so the sites you visited :D
I would go for a clean install and restore from backup personally, and consider the sites you choose to visit more wisely.
These, as well as downloading torrents, and pirated software are the best, and pretty much only way to mess with your mac upto date!

I have never downloaded any torrents (or pirated anything else) on here or had any issues in the past. This problem occurred immediately after deleting those files.

I'll re-install the Adobe Flash Player now and report back in a few mins ;)

I just realize I already tried the Adobe Flash Player re-install the other day. I tried it again and no go.

Hmm...

I wonder why I can still watch YouTube vids?

well I think the last resort is your best option.... clean install.
Erase hard drive, install SL, and be sure that if you are restoring from a backup, that you are doing so from a "clean backup".... and if unsure, doing a manual move of files, etc, and installing apps from discs, and downloading apps from scratch.

There is another problem now...

After installing that update Apple - Downloads - Mac OS X Updates - Mac OS X v10.6.2 Update (Combo)
my fan is running on steroids. Before I couldn't really hear it, or it wasn't noticeable (unless muting the speakers when watching a DVD), and now it is literally 30x louder. It holds that speed/noise for a few mins then slowly dies down until it turns off.

The update won't have anything to do with your fans going tropo... however, the underlying problems certainly might.
The clean install is the way to go at this stage, as your mac is not happy!

My Mac doesn't seem to be sad either. Most tube sites are OK on my comp, only a few won't work.

The loud fan issue started when the install was taking place, and my computer was in 'off' mode.

I don't know what you mean by off mode, but during the updating, I'm sure the fans would have been going for it, as it is a big update.

Off mode meaning the computer turns off, then installs the software as it is turning back on - but the screen is grey. Am I being clear? I'm not sure how to explain it.

Anyways, the computer is now (now meaning RIGHT NOW while I'm using it) running as loud as my radiator fan in my car, when the AC is on. LOL.

I'll just take it in to Apple.

Thanks for the help.

before you go taking it to apple....... do a clean install.
I really believe the ???? sites and the deleting have corrupted your HD, and an erase and install will let you know either way!

I don't have a backup of my files (Time Machine).

Do I just re-install Snow Leopard?

if you just reinstall, you will still have the "bad stuff" on there.
Clean install is the only way to ensure that you have a clean system.
Your options are to get a backup drive, which you should have anyway, and then you wouldn't be in this boat, or dual layered discs, or usb sticks, and just copy your music, pictures, docs, etc.... at the end of the day, you can pick up an external drive for around $75.
If you take it to Apple, I suspect that they will do a clean install, and you will have lost all your data anyway.

CLEAN INSTALL:
You boot from the SL disc by holding C or option on start up, choose language, click continue, go to utilities in menu bar and click disk utilities.
Then select the second HD in the left (probably called Macintosh HD) and click erase tab.
Make sure that it is formatted as mac os extended (journalled) and click erase disc.
this will take a few seconds, then exit utilities, and continue installation.
