Awesome man, so is it really as cool as it sounds like it is?

Is there an option to play the movie without the music? How loud is the music? Is it over the sound of the character's voices?

there is only one video track and one audio track. itd be cool if you could switch between the 2 audio tracks, but i was limited on space since consumers can only buy 4.7gb DVDs. the only audio track on there is the Dark Side of the Moon album (it repeats about 2 and a half times). so to answer your questions:

yes, press mute.
as loud as your tv/home stereo system
no, the characters voices arent on there

ah! okay, so we'll be watching the characters move around, wording things you can't hear but the song will be playing and such.

Does it really turn out cool?

p.s. I've never seen the regular Wizard of Oz

Ya this is pretty much a one time experience. We had this old performing theatre and they had a showing of it a few years ago. Don't forget to start it at the right place.

It's like after the 3rd roar of the MGM lion, or just before a certain credit rolls up. But ya it matches up pretty much for the entire 1st running of the dark side of the moon. After the music repeats, its not matching up so much.

Good luck with that tho, would be amusing to watch it briefly agian.

ya, i have it matched up with the cues from the dark side of the oz app on macupdate. you can also tell if its synced by setting it to start the track "Money" when Dorothy opens the door to munchkin land. while in oz there are some cool occurrences, though not as many as in the beginning

i have the full album as one track on my PC as an MP3. I've tried it, and i think it's pretty cool, but i do agree that its only worth watching once, and if you're stoned or drunk.
