Creating a Dock Icon For an App

Hi guys. So I have been recently making apps in Xcode and they are working fine but I was wondering how do you change the default icon for the app that appears on the dock?

In the "Summary" tab for your project, there is an icon box. Drag your icon on to that box.

I have tried that but it doesn't seem to change anything

Did you add an icns file? I'm fairly confident that Xcode will require that the file you select as your icon be an icns file.

No I didn't. I believe I did a .jpg. How do you make a .icns file?

I find that this works pretty well.

Thanks a bunch! You helped me get there it turns out Xcode has its own icns file creator called Icon Composer. It can be found by going into the finder then to Macintosh HD (or if you just have the Macintosh HD on your desktop) then to Developer > Applications > Utilities > Icon Composer. Or like vansmith said you can download something! Either way...
