@chscag
How about those special gloves that are sold which supposedly provide relief from arthritis? Have you tried them?

No, I haven't thanks chscag.

I have tried the "arthritis socks" for my feet with a similar affliction, but they haven't really helped much, and I imagine the gloves would be about the same.

Besides that, I really don't enjoy wearing gloves of any type.

I did get some "Tiger Balm Arthritis Rub" lotion to try recently that was supposed to do great relief things, but all it has done is make my hands smell nice and make my eyes water excessively if I get it even close to them. So, so much for the old Chinese medicine.

FWIW, my English mother used to visit the Tiger Balm Gardens when she was young and growing up in China. Their Tiger Balm medications were said to relieve all kinds of ailments. But not for me it seems... :confused:

Climate has a lot to do with arthritis and the effects from it. You're living in an area which receives an abundance of rain and humidity. That probably makes it more difficult to get relief.

Besides all that, the older we get the more brittle our bones become. But as doctors have said about arthritis - exercise is important. Keep things moving or you'll begin to lose what's left. Not a good prognosis.

I had never heard of the 3M Coban tape before.
My primary care doctor recommended it to me. I had never heard of it before that.

@chscag
I have not heard about gloves for arthritis. Do they have a name?

I've seen the gloves advertised on TV as "copper gloves" to relieve Arthritis. Whether they're effective or not, that I do not know. I'm always a bit suspicious about things sold on TV as they never turn out to be what the advertisement says.

I imagine if you go to a medical supply store (on the net) you should be able to find gloves, stockings, and wraps specifically for Arthritis sufferers. Rheumatoid Arthritis is very difficult to treat effectively since some of the remedies have negative after effects.
