• The forum rules at Mac-Forums (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

hey guys ive recently downloaded some video files from the internet and they are in .wmv format. i want to burn them onto a dvd and it wont let me drag them onto toast. I have experimented and it will allow me to drag and burn .mpg video files on a dvd so i need someting that will convert the .wmv files to .mpg so that i can burn them onto a dvd AS a dvd not as data. was wondering whether someone could point me in the right direction. would be greatly appreciated!

i dont think you can convert wmv to mpeg on mac, never come accross a program that can do it on mac. on PC blaze media pro can do it though.
