Convert PDF to web page

Running OS 10.11 on a mid-2009 MacBook Pro upgraded to 8GB RAM and SSD.

Had been using a free PDF to HTML converter and uploading the resultant HTML (address: http://www....html) to web site and using it in creating links.

"Misplaced" that free app and now searching for any app that will suffice. All that I've tried produce HTML product with address file:///user. ....html rather than http:///www....html.

1. Is there any means of converting from "file:///" to "Http://"?

2. Can anyone suggest an app that will convert PDF to HTML that can be uploaded to web page and used in creating link that will be accessible? I desperately willing to purchase such an app.

pdf2htmlex can do what you want (and it does a pretty solid job). You can get it through Homebrew. Note that it's a command line application. Are you familiar with the command line?

No, Van, I'm not. Despite the fact that I'm an 83 y/o guy who wrote code 50 year ago (we all had to then), I'm hesitant to go there.

But, if I must, is there a Command Line for Dummies? And would pdf2htmlex convert PDF from scratch? Would it be easier/possible to convert file:///user...... to http://www ....., or does that show my naivete?
