I'm confused. I'd like to learn Java, and I just got a new mac. I've been on the sun website for a Java se 6 download, but couldn't find any -- only windows, linux, solaris, but no mac os X leopard. I'm new to this, so I'm not sure if I'm asking the right thing. Can anyone out there tell me if I can download the JDK (or Java se 6) for mad os X leopard, and if so, where? The sun website was confusing as all get out. I've come across articles which talk about os X supporting se 6, but I don't think that's what I'm looking for. I need the actual software that can let me write programs in Java.

how do I start using java

Thanks. I unloaded se 6 from the apple website, but I don't know how to get it going. I have a free ide (j creator lite) that I got with a book. I assume I have to load that into the machine, but is there anything else I need to do to start programming, or can I just open up that ide and begin?
