Compressing multiple folders

Is there a way to compress multiple folders and not have them all lumped into one archive folder?

For example, if you have folder1, folder2 and folder3 how could you compress them all at the same time and get the result folder1.zip, folder2.zip and folder3.zip instead of Archive.zip
