Certainly do. But surely Apple think it's a safe application as they chose to include it in the App Store
We had a discussion about this on the Macintosh consultants list.
The overall opinion was that Apple doesn't endorse anything in the Mac App Store unless they actually endorse it. And there is indeed a selection of software that Apple highlights and recommends. (Even then, I'm not sure that they really review the software. They may just get paid for their endorsement.)
Beyond that...there is a lot of crapware in the Mac App Store. Apple tests software to be sure that it meets their programming guidelines and that it doesn't contain malware. I don't think that you can read anything else into an app just being in the Mac App Store.
The Mac OS itself has storage management built-in. There are several very nice free utilities that will allow you to do routine maintenance on your Mac. CleanMyMacX is a waste of money, and it has gotten people in trouble. Even if the version in the Mac App Store has been neutered, I personally would recommend not patronizing a company that used to (and apparently still does outside of the Mac App Store) peddle dangerous or unethical software. It sets a bad example.
