Can anyone recommend the best crap cleaner for Mac? I found CleanmyMac from MacPaw and wonder if this is as good as they say

In common with a lot of folk on here I use onyx

No, it's not. We don't recommend any of them. And there are some that are outright dangerous.
We only recommend Onyx, and that only every few months(or years) as needed.
OS X can pretty much take care of itself if you let it.
