I have the current versions of Snow Leopard.

I was changing some of my icons and now one of them (the Documents icon) for the documents directory is showing a default white page with little photo icon. No matter what I do it will not change back the the blue documents folder icon or any other icon.
I have use CandyBar, LiteIcon, and I have manually tried to change it by dragging the icon in the "Get Info" screen. Nothing works.

How can I fix this?

A quick search pulled this up,
Mac-Foums Restoring Default Icons

Also, is it the icon in the Finder side bar, or is it in the one in the main navigation area?

Both. But I was able to get help on another blog.
----------------
a. make sure that the little lock picture on your "get info" window is unlocked.
b. right above that you should see something that says "read only" or "read & write." make sure all of those things say "read and write."

once that is out of the way, click/highlight the current photo icon you have for ur docs folder (upper left hand of the "get info" window) then hit: command x
----------------
That worked.

Thanks for responding though.
