When I have more than a few tabs open, it;s hard to tell which tab is the one that I'm on because the "highlighted" tab is almost the same colors as the others. Is there a way to change the tab that I'm using to a different color, so when I'm done with it, I can just click on the X? Thanks

Thanks, I dont think it still works because I can't find this file, which is one of the files that needs ot be changed. Aw_activetabcenterfill.png. I'm surprised there isn't an easy way to do this.

Well there are some similar "icons" or images if you want to try mucking about with any, but please create a current working backup first.

There is no way to make the active tab a different color. However, if you want to quickly close the active tab, just hold the ⌘ key and press W.

I didn't think that SafariStand was still around and working, but apparently so according to the comments and download at:
SafariStand for Mac | MacUpdate

But not so for SafariMasks it seems:
SafariMasks for Mac | MacUpdate

I wonder if the recent Safari version's pict Resources for its Tabs display couldn't be modified and colorised somehow to get some tabs differentiation??? Hmmm….??? ;)

PS: I wish there was some web rule that all web pages should have a published date so that one could tell at the beginning that the info may just be out of date for current use and info.
