I have a iMac G3/400 DV SE which currently has no operating system on it. I popped in one of my Toshiba Equium's restore discs (which I knew probaly wouldn't work) and now I can't get it out. I have tried holding down the mouse button, booting into firmware and typing eject cd and holding down the F12 key. IT STILL WONT COME OUT. I really need this CD back because my toshiba is going a bit crazy and I am going to reinstall the OS.

get a paper clip and look for a lil hole to the right of the tray. push it in (not too hard) and you should hear a little button click in, then your cd should eject.

This is a slot loading machine and I cant see any hole to the side of it.

That is what I mean, there is almost like a little hole, in between the two flaps to the right of the slot. Push a paperclip in there and it will release.

Glad to see you got it... I thought you meant it was STUCK stuck, like wouldn't come out, even with the paperclip trick....then you have to do what I posted... or take it apart.

Mine is stuck stuck and cursor doesn’t move to do anything. Paper clip makes it sound like ejecting but nothing comes out.

@MollyGrace, it's great to have a new member and thank for your post. Welcome.

I should just mention that you are tagging on to a thread that was last posted to in 2011 - thirteen years ago.

May I suggest that you start a new thread, stating exactly what your problem is and couple that with the Mac products you have, and their current operating system - in other words give us as much detail as you can. That helps us to help you.
