Hi, i have just been given a G4 mirror door imac, it did not come with a cd rom, so i have bought and i am having trouble getting it to work. Basically i need to do a clean install as the OS at the moment has been passworded and there is no chance of getting the password. I have connected the cd rom and when i boot up holding the C key it just boots to the hard drive, is there anything i am doing wrong or is the cd rom not being recognised?
This is my first time with Macs as i am used to running windows.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
