CD Label Software

20"iMac, 2.16ghz dual core
Just purchased my Mac and am looking for a reasonable CD labelling software package - looking around Belight Disc Cover looks good. Before I tanke the plunge, anyone got any recommendations?

TOAST 8 comes with some labeling software (Disc Cover RE)...

TOAST is the very best of burning software (IMO) so you would essentially be killing 2 birds with 1 stone, so to speak.

When you say labels - I assume you mean paper labels? Just so you know, slot loading drives often have a problem with labeled CD/DVD's. The bulk of the paper label gets in the way. This has happened on my MBP and my PS3. I've resorted to my good 'ol sharpie.

Nice glossy ones to make my CDs look good - so Macs don't like labels then? Thanks for the tip. For ones that I will use on my iMac I will stick to pen!

it's not macs - it's the type of drive. A drawer that you open allows space for a label - a slot does not. Just my experience.

Have you looked at LightScribe? You burn the disk then flip it over and then burn an image into the top. Of course you'll need to buy the drive. I picked one up and love it. The drive seems to burn discs twice as fast...

I wouldn't really recommend using paper labels. Not sure what they do, but they've left me tons of discs that were previously usable, completely unusable. And this hasn't happened to just me.

These discs were kept in a case, away from sunlight, only used once in a while. Went to get thte files off them, and couldn't get any computer to read them.
