Thanks for the info Jake, and it seems odd that the strap seems to have almost the same value as the Apple watch itself or at least can affect the overall value and sometimes rather drastically as you discovered.

That is almost as odd as something I read a short time ago, which is, would you believe, Rolex is a "non-profit charity".

And I will bet a pretty healthy one at that...

Sounds good, but just curious, do they supply any tools to change the links or are they not even needed???

Yes, the band came with a small tool that pushes out the pin in the links you want to remove and then to set the pins back in to reassemble the band. I actually have three of the tools I have gathered over the years.

It is slightly fiddly to get the pins aligned but it only needs doing once. Maybe your good bride has steadier hands?
