Can't use printer

I have an HP Deskjet D1420 printer that I used a lot last year and now here today I have to print some important paper work and when I use the printer installer , it sees that the printer is connected but when I tab down for HP the model number isn't listed...

so why cant this OS just plug and play?

Way... way too many specs to list.
Did you try "HP Deskjet D1400 Series" ?


Oppps, my brain read that as 10.5 Sorry :)
