Can't read Mico SD card after write by ApplePi baker and BalenaEtcher

Hi all

I've now tried writing 2 different images to various Micro SD cards, using Apple Pi Baker and Balena Etcher.

Using 2 different MicoSD Card -> USB adapters.
Using multiple MicroSD cards (actually through 3 away thinking they all got damaged...

All will complete the write and then unmount and when it mounts it says can't read media, do you want to initialize

This is on MacOS Big SUR.

Anyone else experience this...

Neither one of those apps are going to work and are clearly outdated.

Use this app instead:

As far as I know SD Formatter only formats a card... did it recently change to being able to write a ISO also...

busy downloading it.

It's just a formatter. If you need to write an ISO to a SD card, you'll need another app. There are free apps that can write an ISO.

and this is what balenaEtcher is specifically for... I'm looking for information that the current version of balenaEtcher is maybe not compatible... but not finding any of that.

It's just a formatter. If you need to write an ISO to a SD card, you'll need another app. There are free apps that can write an ISO.

tried various of the top 5 apps, app either did not work, or like newest balenaEtcher...
same results.
