I can't find the "Settings" icon in iPhoto? I have no tools/icons on the bottom of my page like they show everywhere I've looked? I'm running OSX El Capitan 10.11.6
I want to set the time between photos in a slideshow I've set up. Thanks, you are my last hope....I've been going nuts with this project!

Here are a few articles that might help"

Apple's Suggestions

This Macworld UK article has tons of info on Photos including slideshow tips that should help.

Moved thread to new location. This seemed like a more appropriate place for it.

Are you actually referring to iPhoto or did you mean Photos? If you are referring to Photos then yes, you are correct there is no settings icon at the bottom any more. IPhoto on the other hand had the little "Cog" icon bottom left in the sidebar.

Yes, this is Photos! I never realized it because it was iPhoto for years! It no doubt was changed with an update I didn't understand. Wow, thanks for clearing up that much but what can I do now?

Check the links in post #2 they cover Photos (the program you are using) not iPhoto.

I think I got it now, unbelievable! You guys are awesome! With this new knowledge I looked at it all different, found "projects" in the side bar, dragged my slideshow album into it and was on my way! Thanks so much! You saved me from a near nervous breakdown here!

No worries, glad to hear it worked, you are not the only one who got a little mixed up with the introduction of Photos as a replacement for iPhotos. Having said that you might like to check your Applications Folder to see if you have both. If so check that all of your pics now in Photos. If all is present and correct check in the Pictures folder to see if you have an iPhoto and a Photos Library. If so you can click Get Info about the Photos Library compare it to the size of the iPhoto Library. If the Photos Library is the same or larger then that is probably handling all of your current pictures files which would have been converted the first time you opened Photos after the Upgrade you must have performed. If you have a backup using Time Machine or a cloning app you could consider deleting both the iPhoto app and its library. If on the other hand you have plenty of storage on your HD you may want to wait and think about it. Just a thought.
