Can't delete synced photos from iPhone 9

I recently got an iPhone 9 and while backing it up on my iMac I accidentally synced all the photos on my iMac onto the iPhone. I have found no way to delete the photos from the iPhone and would like some help. None of the answers I found on the web have solved the problem. Thanks in advance.

First off, you surprise me because I didn't know that Apple made an iPhone 9. Whatever.

Here is the method of deleting photos from any iPhone:

Delete photos on your iPhone or iPad – Apple Support (UK)

You can delete a single photo or video, or delete multiple images at once. You can also recover anything you've deleted accidentally.

Maybe uncheck the box to sync them? You will have to have the iPhone connected with the cable.
