Hello,

I've been trying to delete/format an SD card, but can't seem to do it. First, I tried sending everything to the trash and emptying, but there's a folder left in it. Then, I tried formatting the card, the process seemed to be successful but when I open the drive, everything is still inside it. Then I go to the terminal and change the working directory to the Drive.

cd Volumes/Untitled/.Trashes/

then ls

502/

then I change working directory again

cd 502/MUSIC/

then ls

ls: 04 Piénsalo Bien.m4p: No such file or directory

I go back to the card home directory

cd /Volumes/Untitled/

sudo rm -rf .Trashes/

I enter my password, but then i get this:

rm: .Trashes//502/MUSIC: Directory not empty
rm: .Trashes//502: Directory not empty
rm: .Trashes/: Directory not empty

I don't know what to do, or how to solve it. Could anyone help me?

Thank you.

have you tried inserting the card into a camera and formatting through that?

Yes, but the same thing happens, when I connect it again to the computer everything is still there.

Is it possible that you slid the little "lock" slider into place inadvertently on the card?

No, it's actually a micro sd card. Also checked the adapter, but it is unlocked. It's so frustating!
