Canon lbp3000 drivers

Hi, I followed instructions from an old MacForum message to load a japanese driver. I guessed my way through the Japanese and now have an English version dialogue box for the Canon LBP 3000. THe trouble is it wont work!! Any suggestions anyone? I warn you I am fairly new to MAC so be clear.

Looking forward to any help from anyone.

My understanding after reading several forum threads is that the driver you downloaded is for the older Mac operating systems and will not work for OS X.

As far as I'm aware, there are no OS X drivers for the Canon LBP 3000. Perhaps someone can suggest a generic driver for your Canon that will work, but at this point it may be best to purchase a printer that works in OS X.
