Cannot find Disk Utility ?????

Hey all first post. Just switched and got a macbook core 2 duo 2ghz 100 gb hdd in black !! great system to use ! Just need help. I have a 200gb Maxtor external harddrive that i can read only. did a search and i have to reprogram the drive so i can add files to it using disk utility. problem is i cant find it anywhere ! have searched in applications not there and used spotlight and still nothing! i have os x tiger with all current updates please help!!

Welcome to Mac-Forums, andrew77.

You didn't see it in the Utilities folder? That's where it should be. If not, you will need to install it from the MacBook's intall disks. Use Pacifist to extract DiskUtility from it.
