can i find exif data from a sent photo?

Someone sent me a photo and I was wondering if there was a way to find out where it came from and all that stuff. "Get Info" gives nothing. Any help appreciated

If it's in JPEG/JPG format, chances are high that it does have the EXIF info still embedded. You could use iPhoto for that, or you could download a third-party viewer that shows that information such as this one (note that it hasn't been updated in a while and may not work under Lion, though I can't see any reason why it wouldn't).

EXIF viewer works fine in Lion.

It is, however, easy to remove/modify/etc EXIF data.

Drop the photo into Preview and use "command i" to open the inspector.
