can i connect a camcorder to my 12" PowerBook G4??

the subject line pretty much asks my question. i just have a camcorder with basiclly has everything connection wise eg s-video etc, can i connect this through to my powerbook to do some editing??? do i need to buy some cables or will i have to use a power pc instead??

Does your camcorder have a firewire port. If it does you will must likely need a 6 pin to 4 pin firewire cable.
