I am curious. I have DSL and I have the cable plugged into my MacBook. What I am curious to know is can I use my MacBook to create a wireless connection to devices such as a Nintedo Wii or DS?

Yup. Not going to get as a good a signal as with a router, but you can turn on internet sharing or create an ad-hock network.

To start, turn on the Internet Sharing option in the Sharing section of System Preferences. You may need to turn on Airport. That should get you started...

Go to System Prefs >> Sharing

Check the "Internet Sharing" box in the left pane. you can select where you want to provide the connection (my drop down list has AirPort, Ethernet, FireWire, and BlueTooth).

That should work. I don't have anything that would feed off of a wireless signal, so I can't test it out for you. But it's worth a shot!!

;) good luck

ok I figured what to do as far as allowing it to share my internet connection in the pref option. I was using a Nintendo DS and it shows my connection but the DS wont connect. No passkeys were even setup. Dang this is frustrating.
