Besides begging you all for processors, I'd like to say hello, I just got here and all. I've been looking around some mac forums and saw that a 733 processor would work on my sawttoth 450, wether this is true remains to be seen. So, if you recently upgraded your old mac to a new shiny processor and you want to sell your old processor, mounting clips, and heatsink/fan, let me know.

I really want a processor that is 550Mhz or above as I already have a 450. Well, thanks in advance.

um, search for G4 Processor Upgrades, they sell 800 mhz processors for a nice price, and even good instructions

I already searched Ebay, but all the upgrades cost an arm and a leg, I figured buying from a Mac-only forum would be a better move. Being as how in a forum like this, people tend to take really good care of their things. as opposed to Ebay, where you have no idea what you may be getting.

I recently upgraded my sawtooth.... 450mhz... I got a sonnet encore ST G4 1 gig processor. What a difference! about $345.

took minutes to install... did it myself. :)

I highly recommend it...

to get info, read reviews. (the one for the 1 gig I posted), and get the lowest price anything. the 1 gig is now $308!!

I really appreciate all the links and suggestions, but what I was trying to achive, was to get an old processor. One that someone pulled from their old machine, that way if anything were to happen with it, I wouldn't really miss it that bad. Paying 75 bucks for an old G4/550 is alot better than burning out a 300 dollar cpu upgrade. ;)
