Browsable network via airport?

I hope there is a simple solution, but when i am hardwired to my network via cat 6 i can see every machine on our network. However, with i am connected via the airport I cannot browse the machines. Is there a way I can make my network browsable via the airport.

I am guessing that the wireless controller on our campus is acting as a router and not a switch which is not allowing me to browse the network.
