I have an ibook g4, 14-inch, with an 80gb hard drive, superdrive, and 1gb of ram. it has worked great for more than a year now, but the other day i tripped on the cord (it didn't have the mag-safe) and the computer fell over my desk. it hit pretty hard and i picked it up and looked at it, and the screen worked fine and all of the keys and everything still also work fine, but the only thing that was wrong is that the metal frame that surrounds the lcd screen is broken. the screen doesn't stand up straight and it just kind of hangs, so i have to prop it up against something to use it. i took it to the local apple store to ask him and it sounded like it would be kind of expensive to fix. i was thinking about buying a macbook anyway pretty quick here before i go off to college, and so here is my question. should i pay the multiple hundreds of dollars to fix my ibook and then sell it in hopes that it will warrant a higher price, or sell it as is?
