Hi, I just got a brand-new iMac with 1TB of memory. I'm a digital artist and I have to use Paint Tool SAI for most of my work, so I use Bootcamp regularly.
So I partitioned the disk to 249 GB for Windows, bought the Windows 7 Home Premium, installed it, and everything worked fine.
Then, I tried to get online. I have wireless internet; I tried to connect an Ethernet cable but it isn't recognized by Windows.
Every time I try to search for something, I get the message, "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage."
I came to the conclusion that the internet wasn't working. I troubleshooted to the best of my ability, finding that I needed to download "A driver for your network adapter." I'm kind of looking for help on where I would get that... or how I would install it.
And then I found another problem. I can't get back into the mac part, and the disc won't eject. Every time I try the "click while you reboot" thing, it freezes and I have to restart again.
Any help is great, thanks! :]

Did you allow Bootcamp to set up the partition and format it?G'day and welcome to the forums. Did you print and follow Bootcamp Assistant directions and download the drivers for Windows 7? Using Ultimate and all the drivers were in the download and during setup was asked home/business user, network password and if 'net should connect on boot and have had no problems.

Also drivers should install Bootcamp Control Panel and use that to reboot into OS X.

Thanks! I did partition and format it, followed all the instructions, everything. I have Windows open and can use it fine, it's just the internet and the general... getting back to mac thing that's not working.

Not convinced. Did you download the windows drivers when asked by the BootCamp Assistant, copied them to a disc, then inserted that disc after you booted into Windows to install the drivers and you have a BootCamp icon on the right hand side of the toolbar?

Reboot the machine - holding down the option key until you get to the boot menu.

Well, the option key thing worked; I'm back in my mac. I didn't have the BootCamp Assistant icon, and I couldn't get the disc out until last night when I pressed eject before it restarted until it was forced out of there.
Believe it or not, I was never really asked to install any drivers. I believe I have them, though.
You know what, I'm just going to start all over and delete the partition. Re-download the thing.
Right now, I'm downloading the support software. Feel free to tell me when it'll ask for the drivers.

Don't start over again!!!

If you downloaded the drivers and put them onto a disc, boot into Windows - insert the disc and install the drivers.

It's not going to 'ask" for the drivers. Just install them in Windows.

Re-read the BootCamp directions again - all the way through.

Again did you print the instructions and allow your machine to set up and format the partition using Bootcamp Assistant?

I got it to work!
Turns out since I downloaded the Windows Support Software to an external drive, it didn't want to download them onto the Windows partition, but I restarted and copied them to a CD-R and it worked!
Thanks for your help, guys. :)
