bootcamp and partition disks

When i boot my macbook pro 2012 and hold the alt-key, three partition disks come up, Macbook, Windows and something called Recovery 10.10.1, does anybody know what it is and how to remove it?

The Recovery volume is a small partition that you use if you have a problem and need to reinstall OS X or run diagnostics. You can even re-download the OS installer from there. It's a very small partition and Apple developed this to get around not having DVD drives in some models. You don't want to remove it. It takes up a trivial amount of space.
