Guys,

Now I understand the benefits of installin Boot Camp and/or Parallels.

But I have one more doubt. How do I manage the windows installation when I have both installed?

For instance, If I have boot camp and win xp installed. When I install Parallels, do I have to install WinXP again?

Note: This sounds like a dumb question for me, and the clear answer should be "no". I just wanna make sure how do I procede with this installation.

Thanks Guys. You Rock!

NO you don't, Parallels allows you to install without reinstalling WinXP. Their web site states...
"Boot Camp
By enabling you to use your existing Apple Boot Camp partition in a Parallels virtual machine, without having to reinstall Windows or any applications, Parallels gives you the flexibility to work with Windows using the tool that’s most appropriate for the job. Use Windows in Parallels for day-to-day productivity tasks, then switch to Boot Camp to play a 3D game. Switch back and forth between Parallels and Boot Camp as many times as you'd like!"

In the past, it used to be that you had to have two separate installations for Boot Camp and Parallels.

However, with the latest beta builds, you just have to install Windows via Boot Camp, then just direct Parallels to your Boot Camp installation and things should work just peachy :black:

So is this supported for Vista after the 1.2 update? Can I access my Vista bootcamp installation via parallels now?

Technically yes, because Parallels has supported Vista for a while now.

However, you won't get all the fancy graphics in Parallels as 3D support hasn't been added yet. But besides that it'll work just fine.

I can't access mine. It's driving me nuts. I have boot camp installed with xp pro, and that is working fine. However, I have parallels on the os/x side and cannot access the boot camp xp when I set up a new VM. I go through the setup choosing boot camp, as instructed, but when I go to start the VM I get an error message saying it cannot open it.

Parallels website is useless - and their customer support even more so. I've looked EVERYWHERE. Has anyone had success with this?
