bluebooth and my mac! HELP

I have faith that someone out there knows how to set up a plantronics M3000 bluebooth headset with my ibook OS panther. I have paired the two up but I can't seem to use my new spanking headset (soon to be waste of cash if I don't fix it). I am trying to use it for internet chatting/telephony.

How is it set up? It's a wireless headset? with a base connected to the headphone jack on the iBook? Is it like this

yes it is something like that

it is a wireless headset like that one as well, just not as fancy and not as expensive.

Any ideas as how to make it work?
